The Fiddle Tree (popular known as the Fiddle Leaf Fig) brings drama and height with its huge, shiny leaves. This plant makes a statement in any room (or magazine cover) it’s placed in.

Light: Bright direct sunlight

Fiddle Trees want a lot of bright direct sunlight. The more it gets, the taller this tree will grow and the bigger its leaves will be. If your tree’s leaves begin to shed soon after receiving it, it is probably getting too little light – move it closer to a window! However, as with all plants, be careful with direct sunlight (especially near unitinted windows), as too much will cause the water in your tree’s leaves evaporate and the leaves to burn

Water: Every 2-3 weeks

Fiddle Trees like their soil to be kept moist (but never soggy). To check if it’s ready for watering, use your finger to feel about 2 inches into the soil (up to about the second line from your fingertip); once your soil feels completely dry, you can water your Fiber Tree again. As with any plant, always make sure to throw away any excess water – water should never be logged at the bottom of the pot.

The more light your plant gets, the more you’ll need to water it. Similarly, the less light it gets, the less it will need.

Difficulty: Low maintenance
Fiddle Trees don’t need much beyond adequete sunlight and correct watering. They’re fairly tolerant to different humidity levels and temperature. It needs some attention to ensure its soil is kept moist; master this and this plant becomes an easy and highly rewarding plant to care for.

Pets: Careful with pets
This plant may cause stomach irritation if ingested
